Painting Quality

All commissions will be primed, base-coated, and shaded. Our painting quality is consistent throughout all requests, and as such there are no quality-tiers or differences in pricing based on the paint job. To see what our painting quality it, view our Portfolio page! We strive to always meet the standards seen in our example photos.

Turnaround Time

The Turnaround Time for your commission depends on the quantity of models, the materials needed, and your spot in the Project Queue. To see how busy we are, view our Queue page!
We will try our best to make a good estimate for Turnaround Time in the Quote we send you, but there is always a couple weeks of leeway. Our progress emails and pictures at every Project Stage will help you to keep track of your commission!

You will receive an email with progress pictures at the end of each stage of the project, as well as an update on the Turnaround Time if applicable. Here are the stages:
Stages:
1. Order Confirmed
2. Materials Purchased, Awaiting Delivery
3. Materials Arrived, Building in Progress
4. Models Built, Painting in Progress
5. All Models Complete, Shipping

Request Sheet Walkthrough

Unsure what to put where? Each section of the Request Sheet is described in-depth below.
Name:
Give the name of the model or unit that you would like us to build/paint. (Ex. Primaris Intercessor, Heldrake, etc.)
#:

Provide the number of individual models of that type that will be built/painted. (Ex. 10 for Primaris Intercessor, 1 for Heldrake)
Purchase or Provide?:
There are a couple options here. Depending on which option you pick, the Quote price will differ. Select one by writing the acronym in the space provided on the Request Sheet.
Options:
FMB (Forest Minis Buys): Forest Minis will take care of purchasing the models and building/painting them.
CPM (Customer Provides Models): You, the customer, will ship un-built models to Forest Minis for building/painting.

SRP (Strip, Re-Paint): You, the customer, provides pre-built and/or pre-painted models that you already have, shipping them to Forest Minis for stripping and/or re-painting.

Design:
If there is a pre-made painting scheme for your model, list it here. This can be a Space Marine Legion, Tyranid Hive Fleet, Eldar Craftworld, Necron Dynasty, etc.
Include information on which transfers you would like and where they would go.
If you would like a custom painting scheme, please describe it in detail. The more info, the better! Citadel Paint names or reference art/pictures would be greatly appreciated. We will see if we can accommodate your requests.
Basing:
We have basing schemes that can be seen below. Feel free to pick one of these types.
If you would like a custom basing scheme, please describe it in detail and we will see if we can accommodate.
Loadouts:
List all weapon options that you would like your models to have. They must be weapon options included on the model's sprue.
Ex: (10x Tactical Space Marines) 8 with Boltguns, 1 with Flamer, 1 Sergeant with Chainsword and Bolt Pistol.
Details:
Provide any small details that you would like. This could involve alternate bits or poses, as long as the bits are on the sprue.
Ex. (Tactical Space Marines) Sergeant has bare head. The Flamer marine has a beaky helmet.
